Zapier Integration
Doc Variables Integration with Zapier
With the Doc Variables integration in Zapier, you can pull data from one source and apply it as variable values for a Doc Variables document.
Requirements
To use this integration, you must have a valid subscription to Doc Variables and be logged in to your Google account.
API
The Doc Variables API requires a template document URL or ID and the data necessary to call the function you wish to call. Currently, there are two available methods: replace and merge.
Replace Method
The replace method requires a dictionary list of variables and values that appear in your Google document. This method will replace the specified variables with their corresponding values.
Note: variables do not need to use the ${[var]} syntax. Just the name of the variable (see example below).
Additional options:
Folder ID: the folder you wish to save the document to
Merge Method
The merge method requires a sheet ID for the source of your merge process. This method will merge the data from the specified sheet into your document.
Additional options:
Folder ID: the folder you wish to save the document to
Sheet Name: the name of the sheet you wish to reference in the source Google Sheet
Output Options
For both methods, you can specify whether you want to save the resulting document as a PDF or as a Doc. For the merge method, you can choose both options.
